SWATCHES & REVIEW: Estée Lauder Double Wear Stick Foundation

I posted a sneak peek of these bad boys to my Twitter and Instagram last week, but here is the full swatch and review post of the new Estée Lauder Double Wear stick foundations!

This is a buildable, sheer to medium coverage stick foundation. The packaging is super slick, and the consistency of the foundation feels so smooth going on — but again, it is sheer (and you definitely lose some in the applicator) so if you’re looking for a full face of heavier coverage, this might not be your best bet.

However, the fact that it combines a tool like the BeautyBlender into the packaging is an EPIC hack and time saver. There’s a learning curve (as I found with using a Beauty Blender, too) but it’s pretty legit to just dab, blend, and go. PLUS you can pop off the sponge to clean it so there’s no fear of bacteria growth. This was a major plus for me as I am a bit psychotic about skincare and keeping my brushes and tools clean… NBD.

Note: Estée Lauder kindly sent me these to review (my first time working with EL!) but as always, opinions in this post are 100% honest and completely my own.

As someone who doesn’t like wearing face makeup that much (you will rarely see me in a full face of foundation) this is an ideal touch up and go stick for me, because I really just need spot coverage. It’s not completely matte, there’s a sheer luminosity to the formula which looks good – not too “illuminating,” but definitely brightens you up.

Let’s get to the good stuff – the swatches. This is a nearly complete swatching as I didn’t receive a handful of shades… I sorted them by undertone so you guys can see the range for whichever you are.

L-R: Cool, Warm, Neutral. And please bear with me on the below swatches — I’ve listed the shades going L-R and bottom to top.

I didn’t link each one individually in the post, but hopefully seeing the swatches by undertone will help you select the proper shade on your own if you’re into it: DoubleWear Stick Foundation

What do you guys think about the stick/liquid foundation combo? Are you a solid stick or liquid foundation kinda gal? Talk to me.

xx
